Google Slides App Reviews

Two years ago I tried Google slides and was pretty frustrated with how limited it was. but my feeling is that it’s been much improved, especially the ability to make things exactly the way you want them by zooming in to make final adjustments. I like that the drawing tools easy to use, and that photos are easily cropped and positioned. but I still get frustrated with the large paragraph type boxes which are made to surround every text box — it takes too much effort to make one of those boxes hug single words of Taxl, for example. The PDF rendering is usually good, but quite often I noticed significant differences from the original. my biggest complaint is that you cannot introduce videos unless they are on YouTube or exist as a link somewhere on the web. this is pretty inconvenient and forces me to use PowerPoint a lot. understand why Google can’t allow you to introduce videos which you have stored on your Google drive for example. Of course there are all sorts of things that PowerPoint can do the Google slides cannot. So while google slides is quite good for relatively simple presentations, PowerPoint is there a white I have to go when I want to do something sophisticated.

It’s a great tool for projects and presentation but when I’m using the app on my phone it glitches and exits. This does not happen to any of my other apps and multiple people tell me they have been having the same problem

Its just a way worse powerpoint that randomly deletes everything you make

I no longer love this app cuz they remove the Passcode Lock and Touch ID. Now anyone that barrows your phone can get access to your Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides

I love the versatility of google slides. I can start a presentation on my computer and finish it on my iPad or My iPhone, although it is small on my phone it is usable for fixing minor mistakes. I think it should be more optimized for iPhone.

I use this app for flash cards, organizers, and sometimes study guides. It’s also very good for presenting, and especially those who don’t want to carry around notecards for a presentation. The notes section at the bottom of each slide is good for many things. Great app!!

The one on the computer is better

Im a procrastinator so using slides to create last minute presentations are helpful especially when its super easy and fast to use.

I use it for school and it is very useful for my learning for technology and it is good for learning how to type and make projects in middle or high school.

I really like Google Slides, it is super easy to make presentations. I use it for school, which is great because you can turn it into Google Classroom as a Google Slide, which you can’t do with Keynote. The only think is that I wish it had more themes, but you can easily get aro7d that by using Slides Carnival. Great app, I recommend it!

I really like this product and those like it, but it’s not the prettiest thing in the world. It makes all my group projects 100x easier to do, but they look less than professional

It just crashes

This app really is a good one for my students to do presentations on and other things, but they are having troubles when they do it on iPads. The buttons are tiny and confusing to figure it out so they would rather use the computer version. But since are school always is using the computers we have to do it on iPads. If you could make the buttons a little bit less confusing and larger that would be a big help.

I like it but I dont like how on a mobile device you have to already have to have the picture so I end up getting so many pictures. And if you do it on a phone you can’t put a picture at all!

I love the convenience of Google Slides because I can complete projects from the computer or en route from my phone. Easy sharing with others and has nice templates - although I stick with one for consistency. My son now has the google platform in his elementary school so he can edit or create projects while sitting on the couch with an iPad. Truly the most convenient slide show presentation software around.
